DUB AID 3 – Official Statement
As some of you may or may not be aware, this year's DUB AID was hit by extreme inclement weather and it was with great regret that the organisers made the hard decision to close the gates to new visitors first thing on Saturday morning through to Sunday. As you can imagine, this was not a decision we took lightly.
This years show would have been our biggest by far and as a consequence of this growth we were very closely scrutinised by the Licensing authorities and it was extremely important that we operated to our Policies and Procedures documentation that formed part of our new license. One of these policies covers Extreme Weather and ultimately states that the safety of staff and the general public must always be our top priority. As the ground was flooded after torrential rain overnight on Friday and more wet weather was forecast for Saturday a decision was made. As organisers, we believe the decision was the correct one and the obvious fact that nobody was hurt and everyone got away safely means it was the definitely the right one!
DUB AID is a Charity show and all monies raised above our operating costs are donated directly to the charities that are chosen each year. The organisers, stewards and volunteers are not paid to run this show and take nothing in return. The team work tirelessly for at least six months prior to the show, donating their time, effort and money to make sure the show happens and entertains you year-on-year.
Anyone with knowledge of organising a show like DUB AID will know that the majority, if not all, of the infrastructure is paid for in advance such as the site, the marquees, sound equipment, generators, toilets, the water, etc., etc. Your commitment to the show by purchasing advance tickets and the generosity of our sponsors helps pay for all this. As organisers we make every effort to ensure the infrastructure is heavily discounted ensuring we get the best value for money possible.
As you can imagine, DUB AID has been hit hard financially by this year's event and if we have to offer recompense to everyone then it will definitely turn out to be our last DUB AID. Over the next few weeks the organisers will be making some very hard decisions and we ask that everyone bears with us whilst we decide the future of the show. We trust you understand.
On a positive note, we've been asked by many to set up a Just Giving page, and we thank you very much for your continued generosity. After the weekend we've had, it's sentiments like this and the comments on the Facebook group that have pulled the team through the weekend and out the other side. We will sort this as soon as we possibly can.
If, in the meantime, you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will endeavour to respond to you as soon as we possibly can.

Info for traders
Please note, all trade plots have now been filled and all passes have been despatched!
The trade team will be on-site most of this week so please email all enquiries to email@example.com
For those companies, clubs and persons wanting to trade or display at Dub Aid this year you need to request a Trade, Club Trade/Display or Auto Jumble Plot as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Continuing on from last year we are asking all traders for a plot fee when they book. Plot fees have been kept to a minimum in the spirit of what Dub Aid is all about and those traders wishing to make a donation on top of their plot fee can do so at the end of the show.
All enquiries should be directed to the Trade team as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We'll be looking for a variety of vendors to provide a quality range of products to suit all tastes.
Please note, all food vendors plots have now been filled, sorry!
We are also inviting Auto Jumblers to attend the show. These plots are just for 'Joe VW' wanting to sell unwanted bits etc. Auto Jumble plots carry a small plot fee but include entry for two people for the entire weekend. Auto Jumblers are not required to make a donation unless of course they would like to do so!
To book a Trade, Club Trade/Display or Auto Jumble plot please download the Trade Pack from our website, read the instructions carefully and return your paperwork to us without delay! Should you not be able to download the trade pack for whatever reason please email
or contact Phil on 07703 237783. We will then send you a registration pack either by post or email.
The sooner we receive your registration details back, the sooner we can confirm your booking. Once confirmed we will send you an email/letter containing information regarding the show itself and how we operate and what you need to do when you arrive at the show ground.
You are advised to book your Trade, Club Trade/Display or Auto Jumble space as soon as possible as space is limited. No Trade enquiries will be accepted after the deadline of the 29th February and Traders arriving on show days without a Trade pass will not be allowed access to the trade area.
